It's 0 degrees right now. It feels like your skin is burning if you go outside though, ironic isn't it?? So we had to do inside things all day today.

So, although Deid thought I was crazy and spent a good deal of the afternoon laughing at me, the girls and I made a monster. I thought with my amateur sewing skills the fuzzy fabric and the fact that it's a monster would make for a forgiving project. What I didn't anticipate was trying to sew through thick fur. It snagged the needle, broke the thread and all around aggravated me, but it's finished. Nadia and I call her Henrietta and Eve calls her Sara. Deid and I sang a verse of the 80's classic, "Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes...whoa oh oh." The kids weren't impressed. She's very tall and has socks for feet.

I figured out Ella liked to color after I tried to make a grocery list and every page of my notebook had pencil scribble on it.It's all fair game.

Snack break.
I decided to bring the outside in. If we couldn't play outside, at least we could make stuff out of the snow. Yes, that's the bathtub. I found the cleanest, most untouched by even a bird's claw snow I could. It looked pure white and I thought, ok, when Ella eats this it should be fine. Then it melted and the tub was full of dirt. Black with dirt. The moral of the story....Don't eat white snow.
